Ski Dubai is divided into several zones, including a food court with a magnificent restaurant and a cosy café, the mysterious and magical Snow Park, the thrilling Snow Bullet attraction, ski slopes of varying degrees of difficulty and a snowboard track. A lift runs throughout the entire descent, which is definitely worth a ride, even if you don’t plan to ski or snowboard, just to enjoy the magnificent panorama of this man-made wonder.
All sectors of the ski complex are popular, but the following locations are especially in demand:
Five ski slopes.
The most difficult of these is a 400-metre track with a 60-metre free fall. But there are also slopes for beginners – completely safe and gentle. For freestyle and snowboard enthusiasts, all conditions for riding and jumping are also provided.
Park area.
The snow square amazes visitors, most of whom are families with children, with its huge territory, ice fortress, doll houses and mysterious tunnel. There are also special tracks for ice sleds. The climbing walls, styled as towers, are very popular.
Flight under the dome.
The Snow Bullet allows those who wish to soar above the mundane and rise 16 metres into the air. Daredevils will fly on a cable above the heads of holidaymakers and see the Dubai ski resort in all its glory. The flight is available for children aged 8 and above (accompanied by adults).
Penguin fun.
Penguins are permanent residents not only of Antarctica but also of Ski Dubai. You can admire them every day completely free of charge – the show takes place every two hours. It is also possible to book a private tour to get to know the inhabitants of the complex better and touch their soft feathers. Photos with these cute flightless birds are especially popular with tourists.
After walking and riding in the fresh frosty air, you will usually work up a hearty appetite. To satisfy it, tourists head to a restaurant built on an artificial slope. It offers unparalleled views, and the cuisine here is incredibly delicious. A cup of aromatic hot chocolate with a tempting dessert can also be enjoyed in a small café below.
Another great option for a meal at the end of your visit to the park is lunch at one of several popular restaurants overlooking Ski Dubai directly inside the Mall of the Emirates. The Cheesecake Factory and Salmontini stand out in particular.
Upon exiting this enchanting complex, guests are greeted by a symbolic sign that reads, ‘Welcome back to reality.’ This reminder is very timely, as the temperature outside can sometimes reach 50 degrees Celsius!
