The magic of Ski Dubai begins with an inimitable contrast. From this moment on, you are transported from the endless deserts of Dubai to a world of snow-covered slopes. Our family spent an amazing day escaping the 38-degree desert heat at the Atlantis Palm Hotel’s Aquaventure water park to the freezing temperatures and slopes of the Ski Dubai ski resort. It was like being transported to a new climate in a single day.
In just a few miles, we crossed an incredible space from a hot sandy beach to a magical snow-covered landscape. The Snow Park was particularly interesting, where every visitor could try skiing or snowboarding. The lift took us up the slopes, and then we enjoyed the descents. It is worth noting that the atmosphere of the Snow Park attracted most of the visitors, creating a unique atmosphere of unity.
What is particularly remarkable about Ski Dubai is that in the shopping centre, you can relax in restaurants such as St. Moritz Cafe and TGIFridays, enjoying dishes with a view of the ski slopes and Snow Park. It is a place where the extreme landscapes of the Dubai desert meet the snowy atmosphere of a ski resort.
Ski Dubai offers a variety of entertainment. Ski resort in Dubai.
Upon arriving at Ski Dubai, we were intrigued by the variety of entertainment options. The choice was extensive: skiing, snowboarding, lessons or simply enjoying games in the snow. We opted for skiing and decided on a two-hour package.
This package was one of the most affordable, costing 200 dirhams (55 US dollars) per person. Each of us was provided with a ski jacket, winter trousers, ski boots, socks, skis and poles.
We paid an additional 40 dirhams (12 US dollars) for a locker, of which 20 dirhams were refunded when we returned our tickets. The use of a locker is a mandatory safety measure. Gloves are mandatory but, unfortunately, were not included in the set. Hats were also not included, but for two hours on the slopes, they became an optional accessory. We knew in advance about the additional cost of gloves and hats, so we brought them with us.
